What is MIC ?

The Mentoring Into Corporate (MIC) program is an innovative initiative by the Department of Industrial Management at the University of Kelaniya. Designed to bridge the gap between academia and the corporate world, MIC is a unique, Three semesters (14-month) mentoring program that pairs Second-year undergrads who are pursuing a BSc in Information Technology/BSc in Management and Information Technology with experienced professionals from leading industries.

We Expect Our Mentors To

Possess significant knowledge and professional experience in IT/ Management fields.
Commits the required number of hours to conduct meetings with their mentee group, either in-person or online
Identify the weakness of each mentee and guide them in making smart choices, train them for the organization culture, and encourage them to stay on the right path.
Possess excellent communication skills, dedication to help mentees, and be a positive role model while sharing “Lessons Learned” from their own experiences and success stories.
