Department of Industrial Management, University of Kelaniya Partners with CodeTerriors to Launch AI and Salesforce Lab. 

The Department of Industrial Management, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CodeTerriers (Pvt) Ltd, a leading technology company specializing in Salesforce solutions, Dynamics 365, Artificial Intelligence, and Emerging digital innovations. This agreement marks a major step toward strengthening industry-academia collaboration.

The MoU was officially signed by Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva (Vice Chancellor), Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilake (Registrar), and Ms. K. P. Muditha Mihirani Perera (Director, Code Terriers), with key witnesses including Professor Janaka Wijayanayake (Head of Department), Dr. Chathura Rajapakse, and Mr. Sanjeewa Bitar (Director, Code Terriers).

At the heart of the agreement is the establishment of a joint research lab the AI and Salesforce Lab which was officially opened on 9th April 2025 at the department premises. The lab will serve as a hub for research, innovation, and practical applications of AI and enterprise systems, fostering collaboration among students, academics, and industry experts.

The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by facilitating joint research, internships, guest lectures, and workshops, while enhancing student exposure to real-world technologies. This initiative underscores a shared commitment to nurturing talent, driving innovation, and building a knowledge-based economy in Sri Lanka.
