• The recipients shall be a graduating student of the Bachelor of Science Honours in Information Technology or the Bachelor of Science Honours in Management and Information Technology degree programmes offered by the Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.

• The recipient shall qualify for the award of First Class Honours.

• The recipient shall not have been subject to any disciplinary action taken by the Vice-Chancellor or Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University.

Awarding Criteria – Information Technology Subject and Management and Technology Subject

• Two Gold Medals are awarded to the students who achieve the highest Weighted Average Marks (WAM) in the respective subject.

• All the course modules from the respective subject that are considered for GPA calculation will be taken for calculation of WAM.

• Obtain a WAM of 65 or above

Awarding Criteria – Three Specializations

• Three Gold Medals are awarded to the students who achieve the highest Weighted Average Marks (WAM) for the respective specialization.

• All the course modules that are considered for GPA calculation will be taken for calculation of WAM.
