During the 24-hour hackathon, the team developed an innovative Integrated Smart Living Platform, demonstrating exceptional creativity, technical expertise, and teamwork. This remarkable achievement highlights the department's commitment to fostering innovation, problem-solving skills, and industry-ready talent.

The Department of Industrial Management, University of Kelaniya, proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of Team Nexora, which secured 4th Place with a Merit Award at the SLIIT Codefest Datathon 2026, ranking among the Top 10 finalists out of over 100 competing teams. The team developed Nexora Urban Flow Analytics, an innovative machine learning platform that transforms large-scale transportation data into actionable urban mobility insights.

The Department of Industrial Management, University of Kelaniya, proudly celebrates Team Lumora's achievement of securing 2nd Runner-Up at Code with WIE, organized by IEEE Women in Engineering Sri Lanka. The team presented LightSafe, an innovative privacy-first Women-to-Women Instant Network (W2W-IN) designed to provide discreet peer support during personal health emergencies while promoting reproductive wellness tracking.
